The covered bridges of La Bostonnais
Path of 26 km (to go only) between downtown La Tuque and la Bostonnais
Live a historical moment when wandering the road of covered bridges, it is to imagine the time when the clogs of horses pounded the bridges, leading the way to majestic horespowers.
Starting to the parc des Chutes-de-la-Petite-Rivière-Bostonnais, situated at the south of ville La Tuque. It is the ultimate destination for those who visit the region because it regroups a variety of activities. The place has been rearranged to welcome families or groups of people with its new shelter that can hold 50 people, it is ideal for picnics or even a barbecue. Note that the entry is free and treated against insects.
Always continue on a straight line on Commerciale street. At the red light, turn right on Saint-Joseph street. When on Saint-Joseph street, continue straight ahead, until the junction of la rue Bostonnais. Turn right and then follow the instructions for la Bostonnais 155 North road. At the terminal 120.5, take to your right, rang Sud-Est (chemin des pionniers)
After 4 km, ride along the Bostonnais River, it is well known for its covered bridges and its famous river.
At terminal 5,5, there will be a resting place perfect for picnics where you can find peace and freshness by admiring the river.
11 km, on the left, take the covered bridge Ducharme in order to cross it. To your right, there will be a resting area, interpretive panels and bird trails. Preceeding this, at the junction of road 155, go right coming back to La Tuque (13km) then left for the lac Édouard (50km).
